2024 International Conference on Economic Development and Management Applications (EDMA2024) is successfully held on July 18, 2024

On July 18, 2024, the 2024 International Conference on Economic Development and Management Applications (EDMA2024) was successfully held. The conference was hosted by Dalian Jiaotong University and co-organized by Guangdong Open University (Guangdong Polytechnic College), South China University of Technology and Dalian Minzu University. The conference brought together experts and scholars from all over the world to discuss the latest developments and applications in the field of economics and management.

The conference kicked off with a passionate opening speech by Professor Dong Huajun of Dalian Jiaotong University. Afterwards, the conference entered the keynote report stage, and the wonderful speeches of four top scholars became the focus.

Professor Franco Gandolfi of Georgetown University in the United States first delivered a speech entitled "Pandemic and Unprecedented Disruption: Towards a New Normal". Professor Gandolfi deeply analyzed how the global pandemic has changed economic structure and management practices, and proposed a new model for how to lead and manage in a changing environment.

Then, Professor Yang Guangfei from Dalian Jiaotong University shared his advanced research on environmental management using big data and artificial intelligence technology under the title of "Data-driven Environmental Management Model: Methods and Applications". Professor Yang's report showed how data technology can help environmental protection, especially in the application of big data analysis and intelligent decision-making systems.

Associate Professor Wu Haocun from South China University of Technology also discussed the key role of data analysis in economic management from the perspective of financial statistics under the title of "Data-driven Environmental Management Model: Methods and Applications". Associate Professor Wu's speech emphasized the importance of statistics in modern economic decision-making, especially its application in predicting and optimizing decision-making processes.

Professor Wei Wei from Xi'an University of Technology reported on the research of "Parking Navigation Information Field Based on WSNs Big Data Framework". Professor Wei detailed how his team used Internet of Things technology and big data processing to solve urban parking problems and improve urban traffic efficiency.

EDMA2024 not only showcased the latest research results in the fields of economics and management, but also promoted in-depth discussions and cooperation among scholars from different backgrounds. Teachers and students from Guangdong Open University also actively participated, conducted full academic exchanges with domestic and foreign peers, and demonstrated the research progress and achievements of our school in related fields.
